A German shepherd that belonged to the body of Search and Rescue New Police York and was responsible for finding more people alive under the rubble of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York was cloned by a group of scientists.

Trakr, as it is called the dog, won a competition organized by the cloning company BioArts International, which has just been submitted by the owner, James Symington, with her five puppies identical. BioArts is a California based company that is licensed to the cloning of pets, in exchange for no less than $ 138,500 plus VAT.

The Canadian-born former agent says that knowing the five puppies, "identical" to Trakr, was an experience "very exciting "and said that if they have the same skills, the use to continue to help rescue people in trouble, as was stated in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

Puppies result of cloning are called Trust, Solace, Prodigy, Value and Dejavu.

BioArts conducted the cloning process Trakr in collaboration with the controversial South Korean scientist Hwang Woo-Suk, who a few years ago had to apologize for a fraudulent stem cell research.
